Q: What is “NJS West!” and what is their relationship to NJS4E? A: NJS West! literally stands for “New Jack Swing West.” It is the first official West Coast affiliate of the NJS4E online community. Since our organization is located in Los Angeles, CA, then thus the name “NJS West” (and hence the logo!) NJS West! was the first to conceptualize the idea of producing exclusive, full-length Celebrity Video Interviews with some of the hottest New Jack Swing and R&B artists in the entertainment industry.
Q: Why do some of the videos and trailers refer to NJS4E when the contents are actually on the NJS West! site? A: At the time of production (filming), the footage was originally planned for upload to the NJS4E site. However, in post-production (after the footage was already captured) we thought it best to place the videos on the NJS West! site. Later videos will reference NJS West! only (along with a "watermark") but rest assured all media contents and intellectual property are the sole ownership of NJS West!
Q: Do you have to pay for content on NJS West? A: No.
Q: What is the purpose of NJS West? A: To pay tribute to a very special time in music recording history. The period of 1987-1995 (approximately) is known among R&B Music fans as the "New Jack Swing" era. We also pay homage to those artists who paved the way in the 60's, 70's, etc.
Q: What are the minimum system/computer requirements to view the contents? A: We strongly recommend any broadband connection: Cable, DSL, LAN, etc. to view content with optimum results.
Q: I can’t see the video! A: Be patient! The content is programmed to start streaming (or, “playing”) automatically within 5-10 seconds. However, due to various browser configurations, system differences, etc., you may have to press the spacebar on your computer, or click on the screen, in order to “activate” the media player, if you want to stop, forward, adjust volume, etc. NJS West's online server uses "Active X" controls for most of its media content.
